Excellent Rugby morning at Wingate
The morning began with our Safe Contact in The Modern Game workshop, led by men’s national team head coach and union technical director Kevin Musikanth. Attended by our coaching course participants and the women’s national teams. “Safety is a critical issue that we are seeking sustainable improvement,” said Musikant.
“A very enjoyable collaboration. I felt a really concentrated group, eager to learn and advance. Some of the feedback from the you younger participants was very interesting. We worked on tackles, on the breakdown and on entering the ruck. Focusing on ways to protect yourself in these situations,” Musikanth summarized.
The day continued with the women’s national team. The women are preparing for this season’s main goal – the Rugby Europe 7’s Trophy circuit in Zagreb and Budapest this upcoming summer – the 2nd tier of Women’s Rugby 7s in Europe.
